About Us
Hello and welcome – My name is Mark Gandy and I have always had a strong interest in film (and music). Ten years ago, I somehow managed to convince my parents to let me film their life stories for prosperity – they have both lead extraordinary lives, and the more I delved into their past, the more I realised just how important their stories would be for future generations of our family.
Shortly after completing the filming, my Dad celebrated a significant birthday at his local golf club and we premiered the film in front of the 100 or so assembled guests. I am pleased to say the film went down really well, with the room on their feet applauding the life of a man they had known for years, but who was characteristically modest about his past achievements. This lead me to think how good it would be to spread the love, uncover other people’s life stories and help protect those precious memories – hence the concept for ‘Film My Memories’.
No time like the present
